Four people died from measles and dengue symptoms across Bangladesh in the last 24 hours till Friday morning.
Three children succumbed to measles-like symptoms, while one patient died of dengue, as health authorities recorded over 2,500 new cases and hospitalisations.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services, the three suspected measles fatalities pushed the combined national death toll to 1,147 this year.
Authorities recorded 1,268 new suspected cases and 81 confirmed infections within the same daily reporting window.

Bangladesh reached 317 for eight against Afghanistan on the opening day of their one-off Test at the Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Friday. The national team squandered early dominance after captain Najmul Hossain Shanto won the toss and elected to bat first.
Openers Tanzid Hasan Tamim and Shadman Islam built an initial 124-run partnership, scoring briskly against short-pitched deliveries. Tanzid struck 83 off 71 balls before edging seamer Ismat Alam behind, while Shadman compiled 67 runs before falling in the second session.
Afghanistan initiated a middle-order collapse as Bangladesh lost three wickets for four runs before tea. Yamin Ahmadzai dismissed Mominul Haque and Mushfiqur Rahim in three deliveries, while spinner Qais Ahmed removed Shanto to intensify pressure on the innings.
Liton Das and Mehidy Hasan Miraz rebuilt the innings with a 62-run stand before Ismat Alam dismissed Miraz and seamer Mohammad Saleem claimed two quick wickets. Nayeem Hasan and Taijul Islam provided late defensive resistance to steer Bangladesh to 317 for eight in 84 overs at stumps.

The United States Department of Defence will livestream the firing squad execution of former Army major Nidal Hasan on 3 December, Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth said. The execution marks the first in the military since 1961, following the 2009 Fort Hood shooting.
US President Donald Trump approved the firing squad recommendation, marking the military's first such execution since 1945. Nidal Hasan admitted to the fatal attack in a crowded base medical facility, though death penalty lawyer John Mills said upcoming federal appellate reviews could stay the impending execution.
US Vice President JD Vance said he remained uncertain whether the broadcast would take place, saying he would not watch it. Meanwhile, US Conference of Catholic Bishops President Archbishop Paul Coakley said the planned broadcast promotes a 'culture of death'.
United Nations human rights officials said livestreaming executions breaches international prohibitions against torture. Pentagon authorities said additional operational details regarding the broadcast and viewing safeguards will follow ahead of the scheduled December proceedings at the Texas base.

Authorities locked down New Delhi on Saturday to block demonstrations demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged voter list irregularities. Officials suspended train services for 10 hours, shut 57 metro stations and deployed 43,000 security personnel across the capital.
Chief Justice Surya Kant said the administration could not 'use a hammer to kill a fly', adding that closing transit networks to halt demonstrations was unacceptable. Concurrently, Cockroach Janata Party joint convenor Ashutosh Ranka said police detained 10,000 activists in BJP-ruled states.
Cockroach Janata Party convenor Abhijit Dipke said supporters remained prepared to face arrest or gunfire and would proceed with their march. Opposition lawmakers led by Rahul Gandhi met President Droupadi Murmu over the voting dispute, while authorities converted 10 regional stadiums into temporary holding facilities.
Joint police teams detained YouTuber Dhruv Rathee from his Gurugram residence on Saturday morning, transferring him to an undisclosed location. Rathee said in an online video that the capital's sweeping transit curbs were unjustified ahead of the planned demonstration.

Three Saudi nationals died after Houthi ballistic missiles struck King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh on Thursday, prompting strong diplomatic condemnation from Bangladesh on Friday. The fatal assault marked the deadliest incident within the kingdom since renewed coalition military operations began against rebels last weekend.
The Saudi civil aviation authority said the strikes killed an airline pilot and two citizens, with airline Saudia identifying the pilot as Captain Hamoud Ali Alkalthami. The attack caused material damage to a Saudi aircraft and disrupted flight schedules, following earlier missile strikes on Abha and Jazan regional airports.
The Bangladesh Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the strikes on civilian infrastructure violated international law and threatened regional stability. The ministry said Bangladesh stands in complete solidarity with the Saudi government and people, urging an immediate cessation of hostile attacks against the kingdom.
Saudi-led coalition spokesman Colonel Turki al-Maliki said all attacks targeting civilians and infrastructure would be met with resolve after forces destroyed three rocket launch platforms. Meanwhile, Saudi and Yemeni diplomats asked the United Nations Security Council to take decisive international action against escalating regional hostilities.
